A one-time technical intervention for MDDograma after a WordPress website was compromised with malicious code, including cleanup, recovery, updates of vulnerable components and additional security measures.
MD PLAST Ltd. contacted us urgently after the WordPress website of MDDograma was compromised with malicious code. The issue created risk for users and affected the normal work with advertising campaigns. The main task was to return the website to a safe state without content loss and without unnecessary delay for the client.
The work started with a check of the website and hosting environment. After the analysis, it was established that the infection had affected multiple files. We cleaned the compromised scripts, restored the database from a clean backup and updated the vulnerable components. The approach was careful, because with this type of issue it is not enough to remove only the visible symptoms. The wider context needs to be checked: files, database, access, components and possible repeat entry points.
